Liisi Hint & Maria Ladopoulos: Beginnings - a braincast
suitable for English speakers
Thursday, July 2, 10am, through Sunday, July 5, 5pm
Discussion with the audience: Sunday, July 5, 6pm
Liisi Hint’s and Maria Ladopoulos’ research involved writing over 140 emails to people (from dancers to painters to neuroscientists to lawyers) asking about
their thoughts on beginning(s). While gathering this collection of experiences and associations, they opened up multiple channels of conversation with each other, trying to process the
overwhelming assortment of responses as well as figuring out their own connotations.
In an attempt to articulate their findings so far, a braincast was made.
It is a podcast of thoughts; a broadcast of the inside of their brains; it is a fossil cast of their mind after pondering over beginnings for some
time.
Welcome to the audio experience “Beginnings - a braincast”!
Some recommendations before you jump in: If possible, download the file on a mobile device and use headphones, while you listen to it. During, you can do what
feels right in the moment, but maybe use this time to step away from screens.
The link to the audio download is available here from Thursday, July 2, 10 am until Sunday, July 5, 11:59 pm.
You are kindly invited to join the session on Sunday at 6 pm, where Liisi and Maria dive a little bit deeper into the process and share some visual aspects of
“Beginnings - a braincast”. You can use this time as well, to share your thoughts and questions about the topic and or the work.

Thiago Rosa & Gareth Okan: False Start
suitable for English speakers
Friday, July 3, 6pm
Sunday, July 5, 5pm
"False Start" takes the pregame preamble and preparation of the sports world and puts it in the limelight.
Transposing these moments from their original context and placing them in urban settings.
Thiago Rosa and Gareth Okan employ the use of commentary to play with expectations and the absurdity of needing to have our attention at all times.
The catalyst for the research was observing the power vacuum that occurred during the Covid-19 lockdowns as all major sports outlets stopped, thus allowing for
the parody and fringe to take the central position.
They want to look at the ways in which sports channels josel for as much of our attention as they can get. And it is here in the pre ramble that they wish to
play.
Over a youtube live stream Thiago and Gareth will broadcast a live interaction with themselves on film.
The link to the video will be available here at the time the performance is going to start.
Derin Cankaya & Daria Belous: A Dance of Pixelated Bodies
suitable for English speakers
Friday, July 3, 8pm, through Sunday, July 5, 11.59pm
At a time when it is not possible anymore for our bodies to be “together” - Derin and Daria research taking it one step further. Without our existing
names, faces and living spaces - what makes us human? How do we sense and feel, when our bodies are made up of pixels? How is my AI friend involved in my choreographic
decision-making? We are searching for questions that further blur the concepts of real, fake, human, robot, artificial, and natural.
The link to the video is available here from Friday, July 3, 8pm, until Sunday, July 5, 11.59pm.
