Residenzprogramm 2026

Vorbehaltlich der Zurverfügungstellung von Mitteln im Rahmen der Residenzförderung 2026 durch das Land Berlin vergibt das ada Studio im Jahr 2026 vier Residenzen für kollaborative Zusammenschlüsse von jeweils 2 Tanzkünstler*innen, die beide am Beginn ihrer professionellen Tätigkeit im Feld zeitgenössischer Tanz stehen und ihren Arbeits- und Lebensmittelpunkt in Berlin haben. 

Die Auswahl der Resident*innen erfolgte durch eine unabhängige Jury, bestehend aus den Tanzkünstler*innen Eva Weibel und Therese Bendjus/Belmon (Resident*innen 2022 und 2025) sowie der künstlerischen Leiterin des ada Studios, Gabi Beier.

Die Resident*innen 2026 sind:

Residency Program 2026

Subject to the provision of funds within the framework of the 2026 residency funding by the Berlin Senate, ada Studio will award four residencies in 2026 for artistic collaborations of 2 dance artists who are based in Berlin and who are at the beginning of their professional work in the field of contemporary dance. 

The residents were selected by an independent jury consisting of dance artists Eva Weibel and Therese Bendjus/Belmon (residents in 2022 and 2025) and the artistic director of ada Studio, Gabi Beier.

The 2026 residents are:

FAQ

Was bedeutet VORBEHALTLICH DER ZURVERFÜGUNGSTELLUNG VON MITTELN?

Das Residenzprogramm Tanz 2026 wird aus Mitteln des Landes Berlin finanziert. Das Parlament wird am 18. Dezember 2025 über den Haushalt 2026 abstimmen. Erst danach können wir sagen, ob die Residenzen 2026 im ada Studio wie geplant und ausgeschrieben stattfinden können. 

Kann ich mich für eine Residenz bewerben, wenn ich schon für ein anderes Stipendium in Berlin ausgewählt wurde?

Das hängt von der Höhe des bereits bewilligten Stipendiums ab. Jede Künstler*in kann in Berlin Stipendien bis zu einer Gesamtsumme von 24.000,- Euro pro Jahr erhalten. 

Ich möchte mich zusammen mit einer/einem anderen Tanzkünstler*in für eine Residenz im ada Studio bewerben. Mein*e Kollaborationspartner*in hat jedoch ihren Wohnsitz nicht in Berlin. Können wir uns trotzdem bewerben?

Nein. Beide Resident*innen müssen in Berlin gemeldet sein und ihren Arbeits- und Lebensmittelpunkt in Berlin haben.

Ich bin zum Zeitpunkt der Antragstellung als Studierende*r eingeschrieben. Kann ich mich trotzdem für das Residenzprogramm bewerben?

Nein. Studierende sind für das Residenzprogramm nicht zugelassen.

What does PROVIDED FUNDING mean?

The 2026 residency program is funded by the Berlin Government. The Berlin Parliament will vote on the 2026 budget on December 18, 2025. Only then will we be able to say whether the 2026 residencies at ada Studio can take place as planned and announced. 

Can I apply for a residency if I have already been selected for another scholarship in Berlin?

That depends on the amount of the fellowship already approved. Each artist can receive grants in Berlin up to a total amount of Euro 24.000,- per year. 

I would like to apply for a residency at ada Studio together with another dance artist. However, my collaboration partner does not live in Berlin. Can we still apply?

No. Both residents must be registered in Berlin and have their work and life center in Berlin.

I am enrolled as a student at the time of application. Can I still apply for the residency program?

No. Students are not eligible for the residency program.
