Offenes Studio zu „We are all teeth and claws“ mit Magdalena Meindl

reinkommen ist die jüngste Reihe des ada Studios. Sie gibt jungen Choreograf*innen die Möglichkeit, ihren Arbeitsprozess zu öffnen, das Publikum zum Reinkommen einzuladen und ins Gespräch zu kommen.

„Was genau willst du eigentlich zerstören?“, könntest du fragen, und ich könnte dir eine ganze Liste an Dingen aufzählen. Aber dann fällt mir auf, dass es da etwas gibt, das ich nicht aufzählen kann. Da gibt es etwas, das einfach alles kaputtmachen will, und ich weiß nicht warum. Es macht nicht so recht Sinn, weil eigentlich will ich ja mit dir sein.

Im Rahmen von reinkommen präsentieren wir erste Auszüge aus unserer Recherche an zwei sich widersprechenden Bedürfnissen: Zerstörung und Gemeinschaft. „We are all teeth and claws“ hat seine Premiere am 9. und 10. November 2019 in der Tanzfabrik Berlin.

Magdalena Meindl ist am Körper als Sensor und seiner Fähigkeit, Strukturen in ihm selbst und um ihn herum wahrzunehmen, interessiert. Ihre Arbeiten schöpfen aus Choreografie, Tanz, Performance und Bildhauerei. Zuletzt präsentierte sie "Offenes Feld" (München 2019, Teil der Archivoper Antigone), "Ich sehe Sterne" (Linz 2019) und "Teeth and Claws" (Berlin 2018) und war als Performerin für Oleg Soulimenko und in den Arbeiten des Kollektivs Suddenly zu sehen. Magdalena Meindl studierte Tanz und Choreografie am HZT Berlin, Bildhauerei an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien und Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft sowie Romanistik an der Universität Wien.

reinkommen (“coming in”) is ada Studio's latest performance series. It gives young choreographers the opportunity to open their work process, invite the audience to come in and to get into conversation.

“What is it, that you want to destroy?”, you could ask, and I could tell you a number of things. But then, I realize, there is something I cannot list. There is something that simply wants to break everything and I don't know why. It doesn't really make sense, because I actually do want to be with you.

In the frame of reinkommen, we will expose first excerpts of our research on the simultaneity of two diverging desires: destruction and community. “We are all teeth and claws” will premiere on 9th and 10th of November, 2019 at Tanzfabrik Berlin.

Magdalena Meindl is interested in the body as a sensor and its capability to perceive structures within and around itself. She works at the intersections of choreography, dance, performance and sculpture. Most recently she presented "Offenes Feld" (Munich 2019, part of the archive-opera Antigone), "Ich sehe Sterne" (Linz 2019) and "Teeth and Claws" (Berlin 2018) and performed for Oleg Soulimenko and the works of the collective Suddenly. Magdalena Meindl studied dance and choreography at HZT Berlin, sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and Theater-, Film- and Media Studies as well as Romance Studies at the University of Vienna.
